I installed SD 3.0 beta 1 and the zipped source package. I extracted the zip file into SD\3.0 I found mono in the samples folder and opened the project up in SD. I built the project -> success. Not sure if I needed to copy anything to another location, but I found Mono.Addin already in the Addins...

There appears to be an issue with the Workflow designer in v3.0.0.2970 that is preventing the .xoml file from being saved.
