  • Re: FileChangeWatcher blocks application on start-up

I found a problem - it was a racing condition that would sometimes construct a filewatcher when there was physically no file to watch since a new file did not exist on disk yet.

  • FileChangeWatcher blocks application on start-up

I am trying to port the FileWatcher feature from #SharpDevelop into a WPF application and thought this should not be complex if I start adopting the model part and build the viewmodel on it etc... https://edi.codeplex.com/SourceControl/latest#Edi.Core/Utillities/FileSystem/PathName.cs and this seemed to be a good approach but I found now that ...

I would like to use AvalonEdit as output tool window view since this allows me to use hyperlinks and highlighting. My question is, how do I efficiently append text when adding more output? I use the code below but is there a more efficient way of doing ...

Hi, I have extended my editor about a month ago to initially load text in an asynchronous task because I thought this should speed up the start of the application (https://edi.codeplex.com/). So, I implemented the asyn load unsing the Task Library and got the exception from the TextDocument class about the thread not being owned and so forth. I ...

  • Re: AvalonEdit Print Engine

I have just copied your code and tested in my AvalonEdit based editor: Edi.codeplex.com - It works great - thanks a lot for sharing this :-) Just one question though. It seems like your printing function prints the actual font size and colors of the editor display. In my case, its not what I want since my editor supports a dark theme and the ...

  • Re: AvalonEdit syntax highlighting color for urls

I have extended the AvalonEdit Highlighting Manager with (what I call) Theme-able Highlighting. Please review my AvalonEdit branch: https://edi.codeplex.com/wikipage?title=Themes&referringTitle=list%20of%20features If you are interested in costum background, default foreground, hyperlink and such colors that can be defined at run-time. Its ...
