  • Re: A surprise exception magically appeared

Delving into the source code at ICSharpCode.UsageDataCollector.UsageDataSessionWriter.FlushOutstandingChanges(), (project UsageDataCollector.csproj within the folder structure AddIns -> Misc -> UsageDataCollector), it looks like this is attempting to insert records into a SQLite database file called usageData.dat, which is used to record how ...

  • Re: Code formating in WPF project

That's curious. I'm guessing that as there are different font sizes in your post, it hasn't been formatted exactly how you were intending, but that the thing you're reporting is the whitespace in your XAML - you had each RownDefinition element on its own line with its Height attribute on the same line, and then after doing ...

  • Re: Parasitic window at compilation

Ah, it's all clear now :-) When you first created the MainForm class (assuming you're using the normal template for a form), the MainForm() constructor would have contained a single line: InitializeComponent(); If you expand the MainForm class in the solution explorer, it should have a dependent class file called MainForm.designer.cs, ...

  • Re: Parasitic window at compilation

Looks like you're unintentionally creating and showing an instance of Form (the base class from which the form(s) in your application are derived), which would explain why it has no title or child controls. Does your application contain "new Form()" anywhere in its code?

  • Re: Can SharDevelop integrate with AnkhSVN

I've never come across AnkhSVN before, but from a bit of research it appears to be a Visual Studio plugin for interacting with Subversion repositories. SharpDevelop already works with Subversion (I can't remember at the moment whether TortoiseSVN also needs to be installed for it to work, but it does provide much the same menu options ...

  • Re: Parasitic window at compilation

Does this happen with all your Windows forms projects or one project in particular? Are you able to post some code that others can use to attempt to reproduce the problem? And what versions of SharpDevelop, .net etc are you running (help menu -> about and copy the information from the "About SharpDeveop" tab at the bottom)? Simon

  • Re: Include my Form to form templates

First you need to locate the folder where all the templates are stored. Start from your SharpDevelop installation folder (something like C:\Program Files (x86)\SharpDevelop\5.2). Go into the data subfolder, and then the templates subfolder. This has two subfolders - file and project. As you'll be creating a form template, go into the file ...

  • Re: All unit test are discover able in Sharpdevelop Testexplorer.

Ah, this is a feature of NUnit I've never used before, but I think I see what you mean now. When you open this in SharpDevelop, what you see in the unit test pad is a hierachy of project names -> namespaces -> class names -> test methods. When I open the same project in the NUnit UI, I see the same hierachy (minus the project name at ...

  • Re: All unit test are discover able in Sharpdevelop Testexplorer.

Have you decorated each of your test classes with [TestFixtureAttribute] and each of your test methods with [TestAttribute]? Are your test classes all public and non-abstract? Are your test methods all public, returning void and have no parameters? If you post an example of a class and method which should show up in the unit test pad but ...

  • Re: is sharpdevelop abanoded?

Hopefully not abandoned, but certainly dormant at the moment. See this thread. Personally I think it would be a great shame if SharpDevelop didn't continue, as it's a far superior product to Visual Studio 2015 Community Edition. It just needs developers with the time and inclination to work on it. Simon
