My first contact with computers was in the year 1970. Having obtained a scholarship of studies in IBM Uruguay, I have received formation in COBOL and RPG for the IBM/360 lines. I began to work immediately as programmer for the MSP (ministry of health in Uruguay) where I take also contact with other mainframes (Honeywell-Bull GE400 lines) that were also programmed in COBOL. In the year 1975 I left the MSP where I acted to the date like chief of the programming team to begin to work in independent form for different companies using COBOL and Assembler. In 1980 I take contact with Unix (studied in NCR Uruguay) and the language C, developing for the NCR-Tower lines. Between the 1989 and the year 2000 I carry out diverse developments using Borland C (MS-DOS) and COBOL (Xenix). Later on, looking for a RAD alternative for MS-Windows, I beginning to use Borland Delphi. In the internet area, starting from the 2002 I have participated in projects using PHP/Postgres/MySql. At the moment, interested in the development of multiplatform projects I am studying alternatives as wxWidgets (c++) and .NET/MONO (c#).
