It would be nice feature to have in SD, that known types will be highlighted in one color in the editor, and unknown types will be highlighted in a different color.
In addition, unknown types that are unknown because the "using" clause was missing, but can be found in one of the referenced assemblies, will provide a context menu allowing the user to choose whether to add the relevant "using" clause or use a complete name.
