Hi all. I have an old eVB project I'd like to update, but I'm not too up to speed on C# yet. I see there is a project template for a Compact Framework app for C#, but not for VB. I thought about using the C# -> VB converter tool to make a VB one, but am not sure if that would work out just right or if a few inconsistencies might be left behind. Perhaps one of the developers could throw together a simple template to make sure all is in order? That would be spiffy. And I don't use the word "spiffy" very often :-)

I don't think Compact Framework for VB is currently supported, though it probably isn't hard to add it.

Oh - I saw the CF as a valid target in VB projects, so I thought it was workable. I also remember a while back converting a C# CF project to VB targeting the CF and it ran on the desktop, though I never tried it on a handheld.

If it's not hard to add it - might that work it's way onto the to-do list, then? I'd sure appreciate it! 

I took a quick look at the out VB MSBuild extensions and there's some CF code copied from C# there, but looks broken (though I didn't try it). I put it on the to-do list for SD 2.1 Beta 3.
