Well, I got a pretty unusual problem... the Computer I´m usually working with is NOT online. And it would be quite an effort to plug it in somewhere . the reasons for this are multiple,it might suffice to say that I´m living in Bosnia...

 

So, how do I download an installable version of sharpdevelop and not just the setup programm that installs it all from the net?? 

The downloads linked to on SharpDevelop's download page for SharpDevelop itself and .NET 2 do not, as far as I am aware, need internet access to be installed. They should be self contained.

Not?? then I´ve got it all wrong in my memory... ok, I´ll try it!

then again, the thing is only 4 megs in size... It really seems VERY unrealistic that it contains all the neccessary stuff???

It does not download any additional stuff. Of course, you will first need to have the .NET runtime redistributable installed on the target machine with the .NET SDK optionally installed (that one *is* a big download).

 The size of the #develop installer does prove that modern software need not be huge on the disk :-)

 

 

Luckily, the .net framework is allready installed on that machine...
