Hello! I have some truble to programing with .NET Compact Framework SDK. I installt SharpDevelop at the first time. So I think there is something going wrong during the installation. I have a MS Windows Vista Home Premium. installation: 1. I installt the .NET Compact Framework SDK 2.0 2. I installt SharpDevelop 2.2.1 3. I created a new Compact Framework application 4. I tryed to compile it, but SharpDevelop get an error: "The Project requires .NET Compact Framework SDK 2.0. It is not installed on this Computer". On the column Path is the C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Microsoft.CompactFramework.Common.targets:23,9. If I checked these the Path and the File exists. Do I have to make some settings in SharpDevelop? Or install some other components?

Are you sure you installed the Compact Framework SDK?

You need to install the .NET Framework SDK 2.0 and then the compact framework portion (the .NET SDK setup puts the installer into C:\Program Files\Microsoft.NET\SDK\v2.0\CompactFramework\netcfsetupv2.msi )

 

Will you please let me know the following:

The .Net Compact framework 2.0 redistribution pack AND
.Net Compact framework 2.0 SDK, are they same.

If not can you provide me the link to download .Net Compact framework 2.0 SDK.

I don't know about the CF 2.0 redist pack.

What worked for me is installing the .NET 2.0 SDK (full version, not compact framework) and then installing C:\Program Files\Microsoft.NET\SDK\v2.0\CompactFramework\netcfsetupv2.msi

Will you please guide me what else I would need to get my system ready for developing mobile applications.
And in what order do I need to install them.

I have the following software downloaded:

.Net Framework 2.0 sdk (full version)
.Net Framework 2.0 redistribution pack
#develop 2.2
