Re: Missing a web form designer

There is no web forms designer.
The reason is that we are just a few persons working on SharpDevelop in our spare time. We have a limited amount of time and are spending on the parts we are most interested in.
No SharpDevelop developer is a web developer, so you won't see a web forms designer soon.

    Daniel,

I am a web developer who works extensively in .NET web applications and web services. I use SharpDevelop to solve a number of problems with Visual Studio .NET. Recently I saved myself a great deal of time and work by using the VB to C$ translation utilities - amazing.

Depending on how your team is organized, I 'd be happy to commit some time toward adding web application support to SharpDevelop. I lead a team of senior software engineers in developing database applications for the music industry, and we work extensively with VS 2005 Team Foundation, so I am very familiar with the features we might want to include in SharpDevelop.

If you are interested, let me know what your development and engineering cycles are, and we'll see if we can work up a project plan.

Thanks to you and all the team for what you have done so far - it's great to have a fall back when Microsoft falls down...

If you want to work on that, you're welcome - we appreciate your willingness to contribute to the fledgling ASP.net support effort. To get you pointed in the right direction, read the following wiki pages:
