.NET 4.0 build decompiles as .Net 2.0

I've noticed that ILSpy can clearly decompile scripts compiled with 4.0, but can't decypher Unity's coroutines or yield returns in 2.0 assemblies.

    Any chance of backward compatibility

EDIT: To clarify, I'm trying to update an old assembly to NET 4.0, but decompilation for iterator blocks isn't fully supported for 2.0. I think I could work around this by splitting the classes apart from it with Reflection and Emit, but I still need to understand how those functions garbled by the compiler work.

Retitled to what may be the root of the problem; this assembly decompiled as 2.0, but given the broad usage of default function parameters, it must have been compiled to target Net 4.0. Could this be because System and mscorlib 2.0 were used?

Decompilation of Iterator Blocks is partial, and only fragments of it is shown unless 'decompile enumerators' is unchecked.
