Build Error MSB3021

Hello

Not sure if this is the right forum but...

I have been working on a project for a while now and have been able to build both debug and release compiles. Suddenly, I cannot build any thing! I get the following error:

C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Microsoft.Common.targets(2313,9) : error MSB3021: Unable to copy file "obj\Debug\MyProj1.dll" to "bin\Debug\MyProj1.dll". Could not find file 'obj\Debug\MyProj1.dll'.

I have done several searches on the web and found no solution. Can anyone help?

This is a bug in SharpDevelop that has been fixed in newer builds, please download the last build from here:
http://build.sharpdevelop.net/BuildArtefacts/

Hello

Unfortunately, I get the same error after installing the 2.1 beta 1 build (after removing the previous version). Any other suggestions? Is there anything I can post that might help?

The bug is not fixed in SharpDevelop 2.1 Beta1 (v 2.1.0.1825).
It has been fixed after the Beta 1 release, in version 2.1.0.1832.
You can download the last build from the dayly builds page: http://build.sharpdevelop.net/BuildArtefacts/ and try it again.

Also take a look at this post: http://community.sharpdevelop.net/forums/thread/10696.aspx where David states that he fixed it in build 1832 (to see if your problem is the same problem I'm talking about).

Note: Responding to your initial doubt; in the future if you experience any malfunctions with #Develop 2.1 please post it in the Bug Reporting forum.

The version I installed was 2.1.0.1864; I got the 2.1 beta 1 from the install dialog. I read the post you suggested and it is pretty much exactly the problem I have. I have also posted to the bug reporting forum as suggested. At this point I am going to reinstall my OS, #D, .NET 2.0 etc on a new hd as the current one is too small and this problem should go away for awhile with a clean install (the reinstall was inevitable, this just made it necessary sooner rather than later).
