Using some implementations in a comercial product.

    Hi,

I downloaded the sharpdevelop and I'm reading the book about it. I'm developing a comercial product that will have some features in common with #Develop, the designer and code generation part to be more especific. I would like to know if I can use the #Develop implementation or if there is some license issues with it.

        Thanks in advance

The source code is LGPL licensed, therefore reusing the source code would mean that your application would also have to be LGPL licensed. Using the binaries is an altogether different story, because of the linking exception - commercial use in this way is expressly allowed.

Please also see this blog post: http://laputa.sharpdevelop.net/SharpDevelop2LicenseChangedToLGPL.aspx
