1) Release Information
Welcome to the first Beta of SharpDevelop 3.0 targeting
.NET Framework 3.5! As this introduction implies, setup requires .NET 3.5
installed on your machine:

Recommended but not required is the installation of the

Although the requirement for installed framework changed,
multi-targeting frameworks is still supported!
SharpDevelop 3.0 comes with a lot of changes, the
breaking changes in comparison to version 2.2 are detailed in the next section.
