    Can SharDevelop integrate with AnkhSVN

    Hello,

I am migrating from MS Visual Studio community to SharpDevelop 5.1, would like to know if there is  a way to integrate AnkhSVN with SharpDevelop.

I am aware that TortoiseSVN is supported, but I need to push to SVN via the IDE.

    Regards,

    Krylor

I've never come across AnkhSVN before, but from a bit of research it appears to be a Visual Studio plugin for interacting with Subversion repositories. SharpDevelop already works with Subversion (I can't remember at the moment whether TortoiseSVN also needs to be installed for it to work, but it does provide much the same menu options within SharpDevelop that TortoiseSVN does within Windows Explorer), which does much the same job as AnkSVN does for Visual Studio, so you don't really need AnkSVN.

Of course, if you prefer the look and feel of AnkSVN then you could always try writing an AnkSVN add-in for SharpDevelop (although I can't advise how as I've never written an add-in myself).
