    Is it possible to get .NET v2 to work with SharpDevelop v1.1?

    Not really; code completion will stop to work when you use any .NET 2.0 feature.
    If you want to use .NET 2.0, you have to use SharpDevelop 2.0.

    Isn't SharpDevelop 2.0 still in a beta phase?

    It is - but "beta" in Open Source is somewhat different from "beta" in Closed Source :-)

    #develop 2.0 is useable enough to use it for day to day work on #develop 2 itself.
