If you'd like to build Postgresql support I'd be very happy to work with you. Send me a private message via the forum and I'll reply with contact details and then I can explain how servertools/dbtools works so far. The problem you may face with postgresql is the lack of full ado.net 2.0 support. This is pretty challenging if you want to provide metadata, transaction enlistment and the many good things that ado.net 2 provides. DbTools relies on ado.net 2.0 support. Anyway, I'm very happy to see where we get to with it

regards

I ams experimented Gis Developer. In the Future, create Gis features for SharpDevelop for MapServer Solutions would can be a good Idea.

I'd very much like to add support for other dbs after that - it would be straightforward to do so if they have an ado.net 2.0 compliant db library which is free. crlabs provide one but it isn't free. MySQL's Connector/Net 5.0 is free, but I am not sure how compliant it is with ado.net 2.0 - I'll have to investigate.

I haven't started to look at Firebird yet. I would have thought MySQL is a priority over Firebird?
